Dubbers received an awesome Teepee from his Nana and Bobby for his 3rd Birthday.  Like many of his “things” the novelty quickly wore off, and it soon become a distant memory and was packed up and stored under the bed.  Recently, Dubbers took a liking to hiding under the covers, either in his or our bed, with a book or his iPad.  While he obviously enjoyed this special hiding place, I did not love the idea of him being under the covers for too long.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to re-organize the part of the living room dedicated to Dubbers and made a spot to put his Teepee back up.  I was hoping he would seek the same comfort and quiet time he did when under the bed covers.  Dubbers quickly found refuge in his adorable and comfy Teepee!  It comes with a large floor pillow and I have added a couple of his larger stuffed animals inside for extra cushioning.  I also keep some of his new, as well as favorite, books conveniently outside.

If you have the space, a Teepee or tent is a great special place for a child to relax and unwind after a busy day at school and/or therapy!  Dubbers’ particular Teepee is from the Land of Nod (and on sales!), but you can find other options at Pottery Barn Kids, Amazon and Wayfair.
